DynamicOps Announces OEM Deal with Dell

LEXINGTON, Mass., Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ — DynamicOps announced today it has signed a multi-year licensing and distribution agreement where DynamicOps software will be a component of Dell’s new Virtual Integrated System architecture, announced earlier today.

The Dell VIS architecture helps customers transition new and existing technologies to an open, cloud-like model that dynamically provisions application workloads and unifies heterogeneous compute, storage, and networking assets into a pool of resources.  The result is better utilization of current investments and the ability to standardize IT processes and workflows to improve control and consistency.

DynamicOps software provides customers with a platform to quickly and efficiently define and deploy custom IT services that incorporate existing tools and business logic, preserving their existing investments in technology and training.

The DynamicOps product offers unique benefits in the industry, including:

Multi-vendor support and extensibility: protect and leverage existing technology ecosystems while offering customization for unique or changing needs.

Enterprise scalability: grow with rapidly increasing demands for virtual, physical, and cloud resources that are cost-effective and efficiently managed.

Superior time to value: control costs, lightweight, and respond quickly to business challenges, achieving a competitive edge in global markets.

“The Dell Virtual Integrated System architecture helps customers quickly deploy a responsive infrastructure to meet rapidly changing business needs while extending legacy infrastructure investments,” explained Praveen Asthana, Vice President of Enterprise Solutions and Strategy at Dell. “By combining DynamicOps functionality with Dell’s IP, we can offer our customers the self-service workload deployment and management capabilities that their end-users demand while maintaining the strong control and governance they require.”

“Dell has built a world class organization by innovating, and increasingly they are bringing that knowledge to enterprise IT. We are pleased to be part of Dell’s commitment to innovate and help enterprises on their journey to cloud computing,” noted Rich Krueger, CEO of DynamicOps.  “We look forward to working with Dell to change the way IT organizations plan, deploy, and manage their infrastructure.”

Deployed in some of the world’s largest and most complex organizations, DynamicOps software provides the industry’s most flexible platform for easily and quickly defining and automating the delivery and management of on-demand IT services on shared multi-tenant private and public virtualized cloud infrastructures. The software facilitates the rapid creation and deployment of on-demand IT services according to established IT policies on shared compute resources (private or public clouds).

DynamicOps technology has been running in both mid-sized and large enterprises for five years, beginning with a global deployment across Credit Suisse’s data centers prior to the company offering a commercial solution to the market in 2008. Today, DynamicOps software supports more than 100,000 virtual servers and desktops across a range of industries worldwide.
